Rainbow Rhythm® 'Going Bananas' Daylily (Hemerocallis)

Rainbow Rhythm® 'Going Bananas' Daylily (Hemerocallis)

‘Going Bananas’ lives up to its name with bright color and nonstop charm. Starting in early summer, this daylily keeps the canary-yellow blooms coming well into early fall. Each fragrant 4" flower shows off recurved, slightly ruffled petals and opens neatly above the semi-evergreen foliage. With strong three-way branching and 10–15 blooms per scape, it puts on a reliable show and shrugs off tough spots like poor soils, slopes, city conditions, salted pavement, and even black walnut trees.

  • 19-22 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 18-24 inches apart for best results
  • Produces large canary yellow flowers during summer to early fall
  • Maintains semi-evergreen foliage spring to fall
  • Great for borders, containers, erosion control, mass plantings
  • Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and resists rabbits
  • Juglone resistant, cold tolerant, low maintenance, clay tolerant, erosion control, salt tolerant, long blooming, reblooming
  • Perennials shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant; perennials shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners® Continuous Release Fertilizer in spring. Daylilies are tough, adaptable perennials that will grow in almost any soil from dry to moist and sand to clay. Though they will survive in part shade, plant them in full sun for optimum flowering performance.
