Bright Lights™ Horizon™ Sunset African Daisy (Osteospermum)
Bright Lights™ Horizon™ Sunset African Daisy is aptly named, drawing from the soft purple petals that slowly fade into a peachy-orange as they reach outward. It does well in hot areas and is a great choice for both planters and the landscape.
- 8-12 inches tall and 10-18 inches wide at maturity
- Annual except in zones 9-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
- Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
- Space plants 6-10 inches apart for best results
- Produces flowers in shades of salmon-orange and lavender-blue from planting to hard frost
- Maintains green foliage in a mounding habit spring through frost
- Great for borders, containers, edging, landscapes, mass planting
- Heat tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary, fall interest
Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Bright Lights do not like having wet feet and will react badly to constantly wet soil. Be sure to allow the soil in containers to dry on top before watering and only plant in beds with good drainage. While it shouldn't be necessary you can trim your plants at any time.
