Little Lime® Panicle Hydrangea (paniculata)

Little Lime® Panicle Hydrangea (paniculata)

Little Lime® Panicle Hydrangea packs a visual punch in the garden. In summer, lime green blooms open on strong stems. As it ages, rich pink coloring emerges to prolong the show through fall. It is small enough to grow in containers and also stands out as a bold mass planting. Its bright bloom coloration makes it an excellent choice for cut flower gardens and can be used fresh or dried.

  • 3-5 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 3-5 feet apart for best results
  • Produces green flowers throughout summer turning pink in fall
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, edging, landscapes, cut and dried flowers
  • Salt tolerant, fall interest, dwarf variety

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.
