NewGen Independence® boxwood forms a handsome, globe-like plant with rich, dark green foliage and slightly elongated leaves that set it apart from other Buxus varieties. Nearly as tall as it is wide, its naturally dense habit and strong branching structure help it hold its shape and withstand heavy snow loads. Developed in the United States, NewGen boxwood are specifically resistant to the strains of boxwood blight that threaten today’s landscapes, making this variety as reliable as it is beautiful.

- Hardy in zones 5-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
